I am a local of the Charlotte area, having been born and raised in this region. I attended the College of Charleston where I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. After college, I attended law school at Wake Forest University, graduating in the top quarter of my class. Upon graduation from law school in 1998, I joined the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney. In 2000, I left the District Attorney’s Office for the private sector, and now my practice focuses exclusively on Traffic and Criminal Defense in Mecklenburg County. Therefore, I am intimately familiar with the North Carolina traffic laws, both with regard to the effect your ticket can have on your license and your insurance premiums. As you can imagine, I am in court everyday, which gives me a great feel for how certain cases will be resolved based on the circumstances surrounding the case. Furthermore, this daily contact with court and its personnel means that I know the policies and procedures in place for both the courts and the District Attorney’s Office.
