James Minick grew up in Waynesville, NC and has always had a strong connection to the mountain culture of Western North Carolina.  James graduated third in his class from the Charlotte School of Law and was the Senior Managing Editor of the Charlotte Law Review as well as an advocate on CSL’s Moot Court Team.  After conducting externships with the Chief Federal District Court Judge (W.D.N.C.), Robert J. Conrad, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Charlotte, James decided to return to the Asheville area to defend the rights of those facing criminal charges in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
