Mr. Jones was born in LaPorte, Indiana. He is a U.S. Army veteran (1972 - 1975). He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Indiana University in 1978, a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University in 1982 and his law degree from Valparaiso University in 1987. He was a past Burlington City Councilman (1995 - 2007), Past President of Alamance Business Club, Past Chairman and current member of Burlington Recreation and Parks’ Commission, Past President and Director of Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell.
