I have practiced law in eastern North Carolina for over 13 years, and have over 19 years of experience in the court system.  Prior to establishing my own law firm, I worked with two other area law firms practicing in criminal law, civil law, and family law.  I also served as an Assistant District Attorney for Craven County, Pamlico County, and Carteret County.

I received my Juris Doctor degree from the Campbell University School of Law, and my Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Criminal Justice at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. 

In the years between college and law school I served as a Police Officer with the
Winston-Salem Police Department and as a Magistrate in Davidson County, North Carolina.
