She is a Court approved Parenting Coordinator and former Attorney Advocate for abused and neglected children. Mrs. Sams is an experienced litigator, handling several trials each year.

Mrs. Sams has been a guest speaker for the Knights of Columbus, Guardian Ad Litem Program, Dahlgren Elementary School, Wahlburg Elementary School and Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. In April of 2007 she opened Sams Law Firm.
